Technology sometimes comes in handy. Sometimes if we want to say something and don’t want our daughters to overhear (the younger one has INCREDIBLE hearing), we’ll either text each other or use Skype’s messaging, even while sitting next to each other. It also comes in handy when I get laryngitis, which I do just about every year.
Pretty much the only reason we still have a landline at this point is because it’s bundled with the cable and internet. It made more sense to have one central number when the kids were younger, but everybody has their own phone now.
867-5309. This is just sad. I got rid of my landline awhile ago, my girls have their own simple phones now but my 17 year old doesn’t want one because he “doesn’t talk on the phone”. He can message on the one he has when he’s in WIFI, but now that he’s looking for jobs they call my cellphone.
Happy Saturday Cathy friends! Yesterday was beautiful and spring-like, today is typical February – cold, snowy, with some hail, sigh.
Hello lightenup I hope your cat’s feeling better and congrats to Jr. for being accepted into two STEM programs! My niece is currently in a STEM program and really loves it. Girl Power!

It can be good to have a landline as a backup. If the power goes down and stays down long enough, you can’t recharge your cell phones.

I’d laugh if this one weren’t so accurate these days.
HI, MOM. Greetings, “Cathy” Clan.
Nice to “see” some new faces here tonight, too!
