Hi Cathy friends and Happy Tuesday. My day is a bit thrown off, school was cancelled due to the weather but at least everyone’s safe. Hope all of you are safe and warm. Congratulations again on the new house Mom!
Just doing a quick “drive-by” to say thank you for all the congrats and well-wishes yesterday. It’s so heart-warming to have such wonderful “friends” as you! ♥
Just a couple of quick updates …..
#1: Closing has been rescheduled for May 8th as the current owners of our new home will be closing on their new home on that date and asked if we would mind changing it so that they could do both closings on the same day (ours in the morning; theirs in the afternoon). That works for us as we’ve got a lot to do here and that gives us one more extra week of breathing room to do it in.
#2: Yesterday we spent the entire afternoon tackling the kitchen pantry, cabinets and drawers. It’s simply amazing how such a (seemingly) small kitchen could hold so much stuff. We were coming across all kinds of little “treasures” I had forgotten that we had (LOL)!!! I never realized how many things I was unnecessarily holding onto “just in case I ever need it in the future” until we started pulling everything out and began dividing it into 3 piles: keep, recycle and yard sale. Now it just feels so much bigger and roomier in there (or, at least as much as it can, anyhow). Sure wish I had done that years ago, if for no other reason than to just have a little more space so that things didn’t always seem to fall over every time I had to reach around or behind them in order to get to other things in the process! ;-)
Another day begins another room. I’ll stop by again tomorrow if I can.
I would just let him sort it out, while I go on the computer and check out websites.
Hello Cathy clan! Glad you all are warm and safe, QuietStorm! Our weather is only cold, but I’ve heard about the storms other places have gotten. Great news, Sis! An extra week is good to give you a little more time. No kidding! I have so much stuff to go through, it’s ridiculous. I’ve been trying to go through it with the mindset that we’re moving, even though we’re not, but it still takes so long. Also, Lil has joined gocomics has been posting on Cathy, but I guess it takes some time for her posts to show up. She wishes you good luck on your new house, Sis, and says hello to everyone!
Poor Cathy, having to google all of Irving’s problems and her problems with Irving’s problems.
Hey Clan! Weather is still cold and I was at dance and one of my friends who plays soccer told us that she had to play her whole game in shorts! Lucky you, QuietStorm, I’m sure your schedule is thrown off but what I wouldn’t give for a day to just potato. But also, knowing Georgia we would get more than a day off. That is funny Gretchen’sMom. My mom always says that if you just take a day to just clean that you will get a lot done and find a lot of things.
LIL’ LIGHTENUP…Welcome to the Cathy Clan…tho you’ve really been one of us for a long time already!! Good to see you are following in your Mom’s footsteps!! ;) Also glad to see a fellow dancer….I still do ballet whenever I can pick up a class
