Yeesh. My husband couldn’t care less what he looks like in a swimsuit, and I like it that way.

Irving is looking pretty chubby. People need to stop stressing about how they look in a swimsuit. Someone might look at you and have a thought about how you look, but then they will move on and not care anymore. Think of how great the world would be if we stopped caring about how we looked like to others.

Easy solution, put on a cool summer style shirt when you aren’t swimming. Still would be wearing less than whatever Cathy is all bundled up in.

Unlike Irving I really don’t care what others think about the way I look – although I am not happy with my current body shape that is my issue to deal with. Far less stressful than worrying about what others think. My wife does worry about what others think when they look at me so at least she picks out clothing for me that does not make me look worse.

lightenup Enjoy the quiet time alone this week. Time to get little things done without distractions. Maybe even pamper yourself a bit. Recharge so you are ready when the family is all back home again.

This is recovery day for me after the old high school drinking gang annual summer reunion camping trip. Although after 43 years of reunions there is way, way less alcohol consumed over the weekend but still a lot of laughing and reminiscing. We even eat far less than we used to in our younger years even if our stomachs are bigger now. Only 3 of us able to make it this year but we are hoping all 4 of the remaining members will be there next summer. Got a little teary on Saturday around the campfire as we said our goodbyes to the 6th member to leave this world (he died in January this year). I guess we are not going to live forever as we thought we would back in our teenage years.

Gotta love peer pressure. Personally, in situations like this, I try to just be myself and go with whatever happens.

    HI, MOM. Greetings, Clan.

Cathy, you’re not helping! Whether it’s true or not, making Irving feel self-conscious on purpose is kind of mean, I think.

Hello Cathy friends! My first day alone and I found lots to do. It was nice not to have to cook or clean for others (other than washing everyone’s sheets) and I feel a little more relaxed. Just need to get to bed earlier… Thanks for your comments, QuietStorm and hendelca! I totally miss the girls, but it’s also nice to be alone for a bit. Lil is having a fantastic time, but unfortunately Jr is feeling beaten down with what they are doing to them there. I guess it’s typical for band camp and she was expecting a lot of work, but this is really hard on her. Sounds like a fun time, hendelca! Old friends are so great and it’s really nice that you’ve kept in touch with yours. :-) Have a nice evening, all!

Isn’t this a total first for Irving…when did he ever care about anything but his toys before?
