No day of rest and relaxation in our house today as my husband and I continue “laboring” in both my “indoor she shed” (the bonus room over our garage that I’ll be using as my library/cross stitching area) and my mother’s space in the basement to get all the painting done before our tile guy starts next Monday. It’s been a LOT of work so far and there’s a lot more to do in the month or so to come, but I’m happy to report that everything is finally coming together after a really slow start and is going to be absolutely beautiful when it gets done! :-)

Hi, rgcviper! :-)
.
Hello and Happy Labor/Labour Day to all my American and Canadian friends here on “Cathy’s Corner.” Hope everyone had a really great 3-day holiday weekend! :-)
Saturday: Put summer décor in attic, bring down fall stuff. Mow the lawn. Do laundry. Hung laundry out and ran errands. Came home to clouds, ran to get laundry off the line and got caught in downpour. Put laundry in dryer to finish.
Sunday: Brush/comb dog, go to church. Come home and after lunch start trimming bushes. Stop after 3 hours and about 1/4 done.
Today: Quick trip to take advantage of sale. Paint posts to carport, touch up places on shed. After lunch, dust, mop and vacuum. Now I can have a few hours to relax.
I don’t think they’re going to get even one of those items done. I managed to clean out the pantry this weekend and I’m happy with that. I’m also happy that I got to sleep in for two of the three days (my husband woke me up on Sunday as he left to go on an early run). Have a nice night, all!
Well, I admire their good intentions. I’ll be happier for them, though, once I see some results of that thing called “work”. Sounds vaguely familiar … anyone else ever hear of it? Ha.

I need to clean the bathroom, but I’ll probably be like these two and not get it done.

With these two, 95% of the project is planning, physical prep 3%, last minute Gripeing, 1%‘, actual work 1%’ maybe!
