The most funny thing I heard once was: ""what are we calling black this year?"

A good salesperson would suggest 2 or 3 options that would look best with her outfit… not half of the store!

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Friday! Getting quotes to repipe the house because it would be cheaper than fixing all the leaks we have now. Living the party life. ;-) Have a great day, everyone!

I hate having too many choices for something. Three choices of everything is enough.

Bought a new pair of reading glasses last week. Talk about choices! There were a few hundred different frames on display. The clerk handed me one and asked me to try them on. They were comfortable so I said “Ok, I will take these”. Shocked, the clerk asked me if I wanted to try on other frames. “Nope – these are good”. “Do you want to look in a mirror” she asked. “No”, I answered. “I don’t look at myself when I am reading so I don’t care what they look like – and if my wife was worried about it she should be here to make the decision”. That got a laugh from the clerk and we proceeded to take the necessary measurements. Seems to me the last two pair I bought were the first pair I was shown. Don’t need so many choices in my mind.

lightenup That does not sound like fun at all. Re-doing plumbing can be messy too. I hope it all goes well with minimum fuss.

Too many choices have been the bane of my existence lately regarding our basement renovation for my mother’s upcoming move here: paint, carpet, tile, cabinets, countertops, appliances ….. you name it. But thank God it’s almost done though. If I can make it another couple of weeks, it’s all going to FINALLY be over! She’s already sold her condo and closing is set for November 15th but it feels as though my husband is trying to kill us BOTH on this project in order to move it up to November 1st if it’s at all possible. Since we’ll be renting a truck and moving her ourselves, he wants to be able to cross the mountains safely before bad weather sets in. I don’t think we’re going to make his earlier-than-planned “deadline” because there’s still so much left to do and only so many hours in the day to do them in. But he’s being extremely stubborn on the subject so we’ll see who gets the old “I told you so” bragging rights in the end (LOL)!!!!! ;-)

    Hi, rgcviper! :-)

lindz.coop: Happy 26th anniversary, Girlfriend! Hope you and your hubby had a really great day today! :-)

hendelca: Sorry to have missed your 42nd anniversary this past Tuesday. I’m afraid the renovation hasn’t allowed me to get here very often over the last few months but I saw it on my calendar and wished you a happy one in spirit though. Hope you and your lucky wife had a really wonderful day! :-)

lightenup: So sorry to hear you have to do a complete re-plumbing job on your house. Since we’re essentially building “a house inside a house” to accommodate everything my mother wants (from her own kitchen to her own laundry room and pretty much everything in-between), we’ve had to install all new plumbing, electrical and HVAC downstairs so I have a pretty good idea at what you’re going through (minus the leaky pipes). Good luck on the project and “party on,” Sis! ;-)

Hello and Happy Friday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone had a really nice day today! :-)

Choices on steroids…STOP!!! I remember running back into the store one Christmas Eve when I was preparing potato salad for dinner and screaming that I wanted the pickles with ALL the salt, not half the salt, not a third of the salt, not salt-free….ALL the salt….and the poor owner had to go into the back and search for the pickles with ALL the salt. He did find them.
