We had a friend who could keep track of his remotes, but always lost the battery covers. Every single remote he had the batteries were held in with tape. We’ve never understood how he could lose them.

That “slow pan” in the first two panels… still funny after 15 years

We have not progressed all that much except now we can talk to the remotes for the wrong thing. sigh…

    Ow—my head just exploded.

Whether it was from my giant [eye-roll] or the comic in general, I’m not sure, but still.

HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, “Cathy” Clan.

A TV and DVD player in the bathroom? A VCR in the kitchen? Why is this necessary? Can’t they manage to do the simplest of things in those two rooms without the constant need for entertainment while doing them? Oh, wait. This is Irving we’re talking about. His techno-logical addiction is as bad as — if not worse than — Cathy’s shopping addiction is! They should BOTH seek professional help for these two very expensive problems they have before they have to maybe one day file bankruptcy because of it.

Not anywhere as big but I do have a box with a bunch of remotes. I am sure some are for devices that were sent to electronic recycling a long time ago but you never know when you might need one.

Beautiful cold sunny day here – but it finally stopped snowing. Perfect day for Christmas too. Yes, we did celebrate Christmas today with the family since my younger daughter and son-in-law could not be here in December. Opening gifts in February feels good. Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday as much as we are.

I sympathize with Cathy today. We have three or more remotes for each TV. There are also some random remotes laying around that don’t seem to belong to anything. Only my husband (who set it all up) can reliably make any of the systems work. One reason I almost never watch TV is that I can’t get the darned thing operational.

My parents would never even be able to operate their TV today…As with everything, the gadgets are way out of control.
