Okay, so I’m a guy and I don’t really get it. I don’t see the super tall shoes as anything more than a menace. I mean they really don’t add to the appearance of the woman wearing them. They just usually wear those ankle twisters when they are wearing clothes that draw my eyes like fireworks. The shoes are an accident waiting to happen.
I don’t think that everything needs to be in such extremes. Even as a tall person, I like to wear something to lift me up and I also don’t really love super flat shoes. My usual shoes have some cushion to them, but still try to look nice. There are so many options out there, especially on the internet. And do people still hem their own clothes? I don’t have the need for it, but I don’t know many younger people who can sew (there are some, but it’s not common the way it used to be).
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Have a great day, all!
I agree with vaughnrl2003 – girls (any female younger than I am) don’t need the high heels to look better. Even worse is parents with very young daughters doing the ‘Disney princess’ look with high heels. I have seen far to many children stumbling along in heels to high for them. Shudder to think how many sprain an ankle before the day is over.
Thank you for the anniversary wishes. We spent most of the day in the air – literally. Leave Frankfurt at 5:00pm and arrive in Toronto at 7:00pm. Sounds like a quick trip but there is a 6 hour time change in there somewhere. It was after 9:00pm last night by the time our flight from Toronto landed in North Bay – without our luggage! Fortunately we stayed in North Bay over night – way to tired to drive the next hour and a half. Checked with the airport before we left this morning and our luggage had arrived. All ended well. Nice to get back to sunshine. Mostly cloudy and rainy in the parts of Germany we visited for the past two weeks. Did not slow us down at all though.
Gave a great day today. I think it is nap time now – either that or mow the lawn.

Stick with the flats, Cathy. Your feet, your ankles, and your back will thank you for it in later years!

Well, have you ever tried to go from really high shoes to really low ones? Your calf muscles may have a little something to say about it!

Psh—normal is overrated. And, yes … I speak from extensive personal experience/relevant characteristics. In other words, that’s me to a T. Ha.

I’ve done ballet for nearly 50 years…I never wear heels.
