Interesting family traditions Cathy and her mom have… Personally, the thought of those cookies in the freezer would be in the back of my mind and they’d be gone within 2 weeks. :-)
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Have a great day, all!
Fresh baked cookies should be eaten not frozen – unless, of course, they are for a special occasion like Christmas. Then it is ok to freeze them but only for a short while. Then there are Girl Guide cookies. I do freeze them since I buy a case. I allow myself to thaw and eat once box a month. Oops – I had better take November’s box out now. Why is my mouth watering?
This one reminds me of holiday cookies called spritz my dad used to make regularly (and sometimes still does). Due to his troubles with the cookie gun that makes them … and his, uh, colorful reactions … spritz have come to be known as the “Cursin’ Cookies” each year. This always makes me laugh.

Okay, well there are few things sadder than a days worth of cooking and wonderful smells going straight into the freezer.

Once again, yet another prime example of how the crazy nut-job doesn’t fall far from the crazy nut-job tree! :-P
