Mrs. Hillman: My customer needs a shopping bag for all her things! Irving: You mean you finally agreed to part with something at our yard sale, mom?? Mrs. Hillman: No. I just bought her purse. She needs something to carry all the stuff that was in it home! Cathy: Cute makeup bag, too! How much?

Oops. Maybe that is a decent idea. A yard trade. People take their stuff out to the street and trade it for other peoples stuff. Well, I suppose that would be a swap meet. Rats.

Having a ton of stuff in a ladies purse is an ongoing gag here. Unless you have kids, I don’t see why all those extras need to be carried around? Things start to “smell” like the inside of your purse after a while.

There is something wrong with the MIL, she rips items not hers from her children’s arms, then at the sale won’t part with anything. Next week I expect to have to put up with her whining and griping and badgering that they didn’t make money.

[Sigh] Wonder if they’re selling any [nut-job] repellent at the sale? Whoops—too late …
