Cathy’s mother may have tried to teach her daughter all those things, but Cathy seems like a very insecure woman. Fail, Mom!

Interesting twist in the story here … did not see it coming.
Also, is it just me, or is Cathy’s mom’s finger (assuming that’s what’s sticking up) really long in the last panel?

One of the reason social contacts are so important to young people is that it gives them the change to learn from other people’s mistakes. It seems to be much more effective than sage advice. They don’t have to make all the mistakes personally to learn from them.
