In computer programming, a thunk is a subroutine used to inject an additional calculation into another subroutine. Thunks are primarily used to delay a calculation until its result is needed.

Yup – never look at prices after you have purchased anything. Far better to go the rest of your life thinking you got a good deal on that purchase.
