Name one time she has worn them out of the house.

Is this gladiator style still worn? I do feel the same about my metallic flip flops.

I can’t figure how Cathy or anyone could walk in those!!! They are to put on after you’re settled in a comfy lounge chair so you can show them off to passersby!

My feet hurt just LOOKING at those!

Ouch! Now those are what I call guaranteed ankle-busters! I’d be willing to bet good money on it that the first time she tries to walk somewhere in them, she’ll end up in the ER — if not with a broken ankle, then with a pretty severely sprained one. At that point, vacation time is over with ….. for the both of them. She’d be a lot better off leaving those “fantasy” sandals at home and taking a pair (or two) of nice, comfortable, flat-soled ones for walking around to sight-see in instead. Her feet would most definitely thank her for it if she did!

I love shoes! However, I also love not having to check any luggage so I usually just pack a pair of flats that can double as dress shoes if needed along with the sneakers I wear on the plane. Leave them at home, Cathy. It will be okay.

I only own four pairs of shoes myself and I only replace them when they start to wear out.

Oh, for Heaven’s sake just GO on vacation. They’ve been planning this thing longer than I’ve been alive.

Ah – Cathy said she could not leave them behind – she never said she was going to wear them and I suspect she never has and never will.

It is Friday eve. A good reason to enjoy today.

He just needs to get a matching pair in a men’s size and style – then there may be more than a little love in the air, maybe even the grandchild her mom is after.

My first thought on this one was … cell phone. This seemed semi-plausible since this comic was created before the huge smart-phone rage. (Right??) However, I should’ve known better. Only our AACK-inspiring nut-job … ha.
