The only thing that mattered in my DH’s life was work. We at home didn’t count for much. It wasn’t just us….it would have been the same with anyone else.
And to think that just 4 days ago (on Tuesday, 1/11), Cathy’s desk was completely cleaned off with the exception of her telephone and one single message on it. Looks like she went ahead and returned that “mess-generating” phone call after all ….. which then somehow managed to hitch a ride and follow her home! :-D

Hi, rgcviper! :-)
.
Hello and Happy Saturday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope you’re all having a really great weekend so far! ♥
I spent too many years where work consumed far more of my time than it should have. Fortunately my family understood and forgave me for being not home so much. We all now get together for quality time as often as our lives permits. Of course they live a long way away so it is not as often as we would all like but we do talk to my daughters at least once per week.
Thank you phoenixnyc for your reference to “The Wizard of London”. Definitely one of my favourite series – I reread the entire collection at least twice per year.

I used to go home to get away from work and “disconnect”. When did that become the “good old days”? …sigh

The fun never ends, huh, Cathy? I can kinda relate, since papers tend to stack up for me—though not to this extreme, thankfully.
