I heard about a woman who’s husband died a few years ago, and she gathered all his “junk” and threw it out. Fortunately, someone at the recycling center recognized the value of one of those pieces of “junk” and managed to find the lady and give it back to her. It was an Apple I. They sell on eBay for up to four thousand dollars.
We have the Quackers beanie baby still! But that’s because I gave it to my husband when we started dating because he called me his duckie haha. I see I could make my money back on it, if I wanted to sell it. Just don’t want to sell it though because it’s part of our story. As a side note, I don’t think Pokemon cards from the 90’s have gone down much in value. People want them even more now, but that’s probably because many threw them out and Millennials and kids both want them now.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! I haven’t been around much because we are in the middle of a move. The truck arrives tomorrow and then I have to deal with unpacking and settling in. At least the house is only about 10 miles away from our current house so it’s not that bad. Hope you all are doing well!
Yup—the “collectibles” (emphasis on air quotes) tend to add up if you don’t keep up with them. Personally, I try to keep things under control with this kind of stuff, though the process ain’t always easy.
Yesterday I was looking at an old “Cathy” comic, and I came across a comment from our old friend Aaron. I replied, saying we miss him and Billy, but nothing back. Really wish we knew what happened to them, and if they’re OK. Keeping the faith.

The hunt for the collectible I wanted at the time (and for the lowest price) was so much fun. Better than actually owning them.
