Yup. mistercatworks is right – an imaginary lifestyle for sure. Lets look a little closer. Yes we do have an occasional afternoon of croquet but nobody in the neighbourhood dress up for it and we certainly cannot call it a sassy afternoon. It is a 2 hour drive and a minimum of 2 one our flights to get to the nearest seaside so clambakes are out. No country clubs anywhere near here so cocktails at one are out. Our little hometown museum does not have a coffee shop or even a snack counter so lattes are out. Awards banquet – oh wait, I did attend one of those when the local radio station was giving out awards like citizen of the year – a non-profit organization of which I am chairman did get a lifetime achievement award several years back – but no women in the crowd wore sequined gowns. Captain’s table? Nope mining and agricultural areas don’t have captains. Hang out at home – definitely yes to that one. People in this area cannot even aspire to that imaginary lifestyle.
Have a great day today – and even imagine a fun lifestyle.

The fashion industry depends on an “imaginary lifestyle” that most people simply cannot afford, especially after they buy the clothes.
