There is an incredible, old BBC series called “Black Books”. Black runs a bookshop. He likes books but hates people. The only thing he hates worse than people is doing his taxes. To avoid doing his taxes. he calls his Mother and talks with her until he cannot stand it anymore. He is overjoyed to find Christian proselytizers at his door, invites them in, and has to explain to them , over tea, the story of the Good Samaritan. In the end, he insults some skinheads hoping to get a tax filing delay for medical injuries.

Tonight all my comics on the site were blank—until I disabled my AdBlock. Never had this problem, after using the two together for years. Anyone else in the same boat? At least I appear to be able to see my comics again. Technology …
