Tonight all my comics on the site were blank—until I disabled my AdBlock. Never had this problem, after using the two together for years. Anyone else in the same boat? At least I appear to be able to see my comics again. Technology …
I’ll read Tuesday’s comic in the evening as usual.
I did the first run though of my tax forms – I get some back but my wife owes way more than expected. Of course, since I am the one filling in the forms for both of us, I claim the medical expenses and the charitable donations (really – the total amount we owe was less doing it this way). Getting your government pension while you still have income really bumps up the amount of tax you have to pay. Won’t be so bad all at once next year as we will have to prepay our tax in quarterly installments. Ah well, still paying less tax than we make so it is all good in the end. I will probably spend time this weekend verifying that I did not make any mistakes and file a little early (We get until the end of April to file).
Nice hot sun today and it is close to 16C (low 60’s F). That should cut down the size of the snow drifts in the yard. I hope you have a sunny day too.
We’re really having to pay this year…again the taxable social security and pension. It actually helped us to do married filing separately…even with the extra accountant fee.
I love Cathy, but I rarely identify with her when it comes to most of the things she says and does because they often don’t make any sense. But today’s comic really hit home for me. My sweet little girl passed on to the Rainbow Bridge three years ago this coming June at the age of 17 and I still miss her every single minute of every single day. Just “hearing” how much Cathy loves and appreciates her fur-baby made me sad, yet gave me all the feels at the exact same time because that was how I felt about MY dog too. She was my dearest friend, companion, and protector. She was super-smart, gave great kisses, was the keeper of all my “secrets”, and her funny little antics always made me laugh — even if I didn’t feel like it at the time. She brought a great deal of joy to my life and it was a real privilege to be her “mom” for the 17 wonderful years we had her. Today’s Cathy is one of the most relatable ones I’ve ever seen and it’s a definite keeper for me! ♥

Oddly enough, accountants are deductible. Maybe there is another “pet” option here.

Yes, dogs are great friends. But my human friends tend to go on and on about their cats!

We ought to be able to deduct pet expenses from taxes, considering they’re family to so many of us …
HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.
