Very timely. The airlines got greedy when people started traveling again. Even though they did not have enough pilots and other staff, they scheduled more flights. Apparently, they didn’t want to disappoint people when they were making their travel plans; they preferred to disappoint them once they got to the airport. :(
To bad they never thought of making the Airport a vacation destination all it’s own. A few rooms, a pool and some sand in one of the terminals and people are good to go.
I haven’t flown anywhere since our Las Vegas trip in early 2000. Given the nightmarish stories I’ve heard since 9/11 regarding the way Homeland Security treats people at the airports (not to mention the horrendous way some of the airlines themselves treat their customers these days), it doesn’t look like I’ve really missed much of anything by staying home (or taking a fun road trip by car) over the last 22 years instead!

Hi, rgcviper! :-)

Hello and Happy Tuesday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope you all had a really nice day today! ♥
We flew across Canada last month and had no issues at all – well a 1.5 hour delay coming out of Vancouver but delays like this have always been around so nothing new. We did not have to check in at the Toronto airport so avoided all the long lines and issues they seem to be having. We got off one plane, walked down the hallway to another gate so it was quite easy. Already looking forward to our flight to Orlando in November. We don’t consider driving as that would be a 3 day trip for us. As far as Homeland Security goes I have never had any issues with them. I have found the security staff quite friendly and polite – probably because I am friendly and polite to them. I recall one trip out of Phoenix where my airline flagged me for extra security. I went though security all excited about it because I had won a prize. There were a lot of smiling security staff by the time I got through. Life is too short to not have fun.
Yup—a little too close to reality here for me. Of course, this strip took the airline stuff to [eye-rolling] extremes, but that’s just how I like Cathy. Still … AACK!

Unless it’s the pilot’s first day flying a plane, this is pretty darn funny and fairly accurate. Good one today! :-D
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! Have a great day, all!
