The only time Santa is welcome in August is if he is handing out gifts. I don’t want to be reminded how many days until Christmas because it only makes me feel panicked.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Friday! Have a great day, all!
Please no, not this early. My wife watched Christmas movies all July as one of the channels, along with some stores in our area, celebrated Christmas in July. I need another couple of months before I can face more Christmas music and decorations. I will admit I have already purchased some gifts for this coming holiday season.
Have a fun day today and a fabulous weekend without having to visit Santa.
I love Christmas music, Christmas decorations, etc., but not until after Thanksgiving please! It seems in mid-October (when it isn’t even Halloween) when I walk into Macy’s or a mall like Pentagon City in Arlington I just see wall to wall tinsel and ornaments! And there are those shoppers who are like “OMG! They have the decorations up and I haven’t started my shopping!” And I’m like, “Chill out. It’s not even Halloween yet!”
Yup—I’m with the crowd here. A bit too early for holiday stuff. In December I can handle it, but in August? Let’s hope this series is out of sync in terms of timing and will align with the current calendar again soon.

I’m pretty sure Cathy dated that guy at one point (no, not Santa, the guy playing him).

Since I’m Jewish and don’t celebrate Christmas, I don’t care when, or if, Santa shows up or stores start to decorate for “the holudays”.

No Way…I do buy some gifts throughout the year, but no way do I want to hear Christmas music for at least 3 more months.
