I think it’s that men don’t actually care. And when I say that, I will add that I also don’t really care what people wear as long as they look appropriate for the situation they are in. But others do care if they follow the latest fashion and/or if their clothing has the “right” label. And that’s fine too. Just don’t expect everyone to notice or care what you’re wearing. Oh, and buy the right size. That will make you look better than the latest fashion.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Monday! Have a great day, all!
I wonder if we could spend less money by having our clothes tailored. A few good clothes that fit just right rather than a lot of clothes that fit sometimes.
Even with 27 years of retail experience, I’ve never understood why some women want to buy clothes that are obviously too small and then try to wear them that way. If they bought clothes that actually fit, they would look a lot better….and be a lot more comfortable.
I hate shopping for clothes so that’s not something that I do very often. But when I do, I buy for the size I am NOW — not the size I HOPE to be later.
My husband and I continue to walk 2-1/2 to 3 miles around our subdivision every day and while I have managed to lose a few pounds over the last year since we started doing that, my slow metabolism continues to stubbornly hang on to more of my excess weight than I want it to so that I haven’t been able to lose as much as I could have by now if only I were “south” of 50 instead of “north” of it. :-/
It’s depressing enough as it is without having clothes hanging in my closet, one or two sizes too small, “staring” back at me and taunting me with the knowledge that not only do I still not fit into them, but at the rate I’m going, I most likely never will either, so why would I want to put myself through that? But I’m not completely discouraged though, because there are now a few things in my closet and dresser drawers that I’ve had for a while that don’t fit me quite as tightly as they used to, so at least I’ve got that much going for me anyhow! ;-)

Hello and Happy Monday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope you all had a really great weekend and a very nice day today too! ♥
vaughnrl2003 might be on to something. The problem is now that I can afford tailored clothing I no longer need it and there are no tailors left in the area anyway. Back in my very much younger days there were at least 3 tailors in my hometown. Now I am not sure how far I would have to drive to find one.

Ya just can’t win sometimes, huh, comic Cathy? Between the clothes sizes and the fashion world items, it’s a tough life …
HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
