I’ll agree with Cathy on this one. They haven’t been dating (or is it re-dating since this is the second round?) long, so there is a fine line to balance on of what gift to get. She doesn’t want to get him something that’s too much or too little, so that conclusions aren’t jumped to (I know, that’ll happen anyway) or he might have different expectations than she does.
Plus, since they’ve dated before, that adds another layer of complication. Do they continue from wherever they ended up previously? Or do they start from scratch? I’d be agonizing over this gift too.

This is the dilemma I have buying birthday cards for Mom. We don’t have one of those highly sentimental relationships for which the industry makes cards. There’s no card that expresses how we get along much better with 1500 miles between us. :)
This is why I am happy my wife does the gift shopping – even for gifts that I give her – well except for a couple that she does not know about. Never did understand why she wants to pick out her gift, I pay for it, wrap it, and she opens it on Christmas morning. Where is the surprise in that? Ah well, it has worked for 46 years now.
One day home and back to the theatre tonight. Really happy we are breaking all attendance records for the theatre. Maybe we will even have enough money to pay for a little more restoration of the old building.
I hope everyone is having a great week and is psyched up for whatever holiday you celebrate.
