Today’s strip only illustrates that the nut doesn’t fall far from the tree. Nothing says more than overanalyzing the envelope.

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Have a great day, all!

I always admired good penmanship, or especially calligraphy, when it comes to envelopes and letters. The cheap and easy labels are okay, but not as classy. However, either way is fine as long as the message is clear and welcome.

One of my brothers simply automated the whole Christmas Card mailing process several years ago. I told him it looked “untouched by human hands”.

The next year I got the same sort of card but personally signed, “Touched by human hands”. Not really as funny as he thought it was.

I keep my Christmas Card list down to few enough people that I can send each a handwritten message.

This Christmas, I got a two-word “Merry Christmas” text message from that brother instead of a card. Now that’s automation!

Midweek and company change day. Our older daughter headed back south this morning and my younger and son-in-law left their home and should be here by supper time. The house does seem really empty right now but I do not have to wait much longer. The best part of the season – spending time with family.

Everyone have a great day today – even if you are alone.

You know … this one actually strikes me as shrewd. You can learn a lot about someone based on the envelope something comes in, though the main mailing obviously tells more and is more interesting. However, ya gotta start somewhere.

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
