Mom is ready for bed now! Calvin certainly is missing Hobbes!

I have three sons, when they were bad, I could never find out, who it had been, they said no word and so I had to paddle all three. When I had paddled two of them, I was tired and wasn’t able to paddle the third one any more. They quarreled often, but when they had done something evil, they stood together and I never could find out, who it had been! Nowaday they come to visit me, we tell the old stories and laugh!

Now, now we are told we are not supposed to discipline the grand children (let alone spank them!). If they want to run around the house until 2am and be cranky the next day that is just fine. You are not to correct them no matter what they do.

No wonder his mom is so thin.

Calvin would have earned himself a spanking in the house I grew up in.

These days, I’m glad we had three girls. At times, they were problems but all three combined were never as bad a one Calvin. Now, one of the daughters had a little boy, same age as Calvin. Thankfully, he is energetic but he definitely is no Calvin.

I believe this is how my three year old son thinks.

and this is why their house never has any nice china in it…

Talk about giving your mother the runaround.

Two years ago I separated from my children’s father, the upside? I get a break from my little terror. :-)

Calvin pulls this stuff because he’s about a couple of thousand spanking behind schedule. I would have done that too at that age, but I didn’t because I didn’t want to get paddled.

He should have to go to bed an hour earlier the next night a his consequence for this.

A scene like this would have earned me a spanking from my dad at this age. When my sister and I were told to go to bed, we went to bed . . . and we STAYED there, whether we were tired or not, until it was time to get up the next morning. Now I’d give anything in the world to be able to get as much sleep now as I did back then!!!!! ;-)

She forgot to give him his daily dose of Ritalin.

Agreed. I was spanked when I did the wrong thing and rewarded when I managed to surpass their expectations. But in either case, I always felt loved.
