So it's official! From now on, we're calling ourselves POW! When people see us, they'll say "here comes pow"! Wait, will they say "here comes pow" or "here COME pow"? It's the whole singular or plural question. Yeah! Do you say the Utah Jazz IS playing well, or the Utah Jazz ARE playing well? Well, they're the jazz, so even if they DO play well, they'll probably play lousy in the next game. So true. Guys! Hey! FOCUS!

Pretty simple. As Pow refers to a group as a singular thing, it would be singular. A team nickname is always in the plural form.

The Utah Jazz were originally located in New Orleans as the New Orleans Jazz, which makes MUCH more sense.
