He says this as he looks at the soon-to-be-mom who isn’t exactly a Vidal Sassoon protege !

She works with the young and the stupid, Alex. I don’t think you giving her advice on hair is going to cut it.

I’ve always liked Alex. Gonna follow her own path, do things her own way, learn things the hard way. 25 years married to someone like that.

Rick could use a refurb himself.

Alex’s hair is way more in need of rebooting than Joanie’s.

I actually like Alex’s hair. And why is Rick not addressing the baby bump situation that was dropped like a bomb yesterday?Gram’s hair is not as interesting.

And Rick’s beard could use a trim as well.

Rick seems to have less grey than before! Why do the Doonesbury men age so slightly, but the women get all the rooster necks and pouchiness? I realize Rick’s neck is conveniently hidden by the beard, but come now…

JJ was born in 1973, making her a 40 year old grandma!

As a 25 year old, Alex seems rather young for a mom nowadays, though maybe she is old enough.

It says online that JJ was born in 1973 and Alex 1988, though this doesn’t seem right.

I like Alex’s hair — it’s cute and it suits her no matter what she does.
