The goofy look on Rip’s face in panel 3 is making us think he’s starting to be more like that of Brewster Rockit .

Pardon the interruption, but why does the left speech balloon in the 4th panel (indirectly) point to both figures?I know Rip is saying it, but vertically it points (more prominent in the b&w strip in my local paper) down at Dutch, while also connecting to the bottom speech balloon pointing to Rip.
