When I was growing up, it was “and you look like one too”. So that’s the one my kids and I sing to each other for our birthdays:Happy birthday to youYou live in a zooYou smell like a monkey And you look like one tooAnd then we laugh hysterically and loudly debate about who is the stinkiest. :-)(hey, I teach them all about many areas of culture… they also love The Andrews Sisters, MC Hammer, Patti Page, and Styx. We watch the Flintstones, Looney Tunes, I Love Lucy, Little House on the Prairie and The Cosby Show. Can’t say they aren’t “well-rounded” LOL!)

The poem actually goes, “You look like a monkey / You smell like one too.” Kids today don’t know the good stuff.
