Maybe Earl’s now running to the phone storeto get his own smart phone.

If memory serves, I believe there were 3 different “Astas” working in the Thin Man movies.

I could have told him he was wrong without the smart phone. Love those Thin Man movies.

they just don’t make movies like those anymore. I know they are kind of cheesie but I absolutely love them. I love to look at all the costume changes that Ms. Loy had, so beautiful.

I love the Thin Man movies also! I have watched them multiple times and still love them and watch anytime they are on.

Our son’s name is Nick Charles.

I love those movies. I was shocked when Jimmy Stewart was the killer in After the Thin Man. “I might not see you hang, but I’m gonna see you die.”

My all time favorite movie line is, “Waiter, will you serve the nuts?” I crackup every time I see it, and the look and Myrna Loy’s face is priceless.

Then ’ The Fat Man ’ On radio in the 40’s and early 50’s…I was told about it from my mother… lol

We love the Thin Man movies!! Great movie chemistry!!

Sad part – for a lot of young, when you take away the phone, you take away the smart —

Thought of them just the other day. Of course, it was in reference to Murder by Death! It has Dick and Dora Charleston, played by David Niven and Maggie Smith. They even have their little dog. Funny movie if you know all the old detective movies, tv shows and books. Truman Capote, Peter Sellers, Peter Falk, so many stars in it…

I don’ need no steekin’ smart phone ! I can remember ’em, well most all of ’em ! ’Specially Rita Hayworth !

The tragedy of the Thin Man series was all the “fashionable” drinking portrayed. Yes, they were drinking water, but alcoholism eventually killed Dick Powell.

DIck Powell and William Powell were two different actors. William Powell was the star of the Thin Man movies, and he DID NOT die from alcoholism. Dick did. Dick if memory serves me correctly, was married to June Allyson, the actress.

I stop reading anything with Opal when she’s being mean.
