I’m not sure how this relates to U.S. politics, but apparently some can make a connection. We’ll see how long Guard’s comment lasts today.

I think Arthur’s “Table Round” had one slight flaw. The king was still naturally the most important person there, and I would think the ones sitting to either side of him would feel honored.A round table works best if everyone is the same rank.

Drawing looks oval not round, which on an angle would be elliptical.

Not all that surprisingly, LBJ had a hydraulic chair lift installed on Airforce I at the conference table…for himself, of course. After his Presidency he had it removed and moved to his private residence.
