Chief Patton, Junior, Sparkle, Honeymoon, Jewel, the fans — EVERYONE seems anxious to know more about Moon Maid.

You just get the feeling that the Chief “gets it” and feels Junior’s pain. We already know Tracy does. We do too. Good to have this ball rollin’ again.

Is Yahoo! groups Dick Tracy down? Haven’t seen it for a few days.

Yep, we’re just checking in so the readers who don’t read the comments (or actually get this in newspapers!) will know the subplot hasn’t been forgotten.

With all the hope that MM will bring an interesting story (not to mention that she is so hot) I hope there is not a big letdown or disappointment.

What has been on my mind, these few months. What will happen if it’s true; Mysta’s back? The entire moonmaid species? Junior’s married now, he cannot just abandon Sparkle (and I’m sure he wouldn’t) How does one deal with a spouse who was dead, but returns after the other re-marries?

Junior and Archie DO resemble each other. But then so do Tracy and Bruce Wayne. Broadway Bates bore a striking resemblance to “The Penguin” even though it was only inferred (but not stated specifically) that Penguin was his brother. They say everyone has a double somewhere. It appears many of these doubles exist in the Tracyverse.

Hooray! Back to the Moon Maid side-plot.Honeymoon had herself one, heartbreaking Christmas.Wonder if she’s found out she’s magnetic yet…

To those who read the strip in color at other sites, is Junior’s head really shaved to the skin all around the back? I see some stubble shown and if that area was colored the same as the hair on top his head he would look fine. I can’t imagine a responsible, adult, family man intentionally wearing his hair shaved all around the sides and back and full and bushy on top. But then I am an old fogy. :-)

That pic of piled up bodies is a new low, SDM. I’ve tried to be more tolerant, and you had been better for awhile. But you’re back to doing stuff that will get everyone to hate you.

I would venture that the majority of posters here would agree that the supposed level of cruelty I have towards junior’s situation pales in comparison to the idea of making fun of the holocaust!^^Agreed… I rarely flag a post, but, I did flag that one, sorry Otto, nothing personal

Today’s strip shows a good reason for getting over this phony “Moon Maid” as soon as possible. Here I stand.

The Holocaust and accompanying photos has NO place here. It is disgusting. This is supposed to be an entertaining place. Posting that photo just did it for me. And I wasted no time in contacting GC, just like what happened to me 3 days ago. They aren’t idiots, just because someone is a Pro or a Sherpa.

I’m surprised at the outrage at the thought of a musical comedy about the Holocaust. The film “The Producers” was a hit in 1968 and was made into a Broadway show that ran from 2001 to 2007 and that spawned another movie in 2005. For those not familiar with the story, it centers around the production of a show called “Springtime for Hitler”, a musical about Hitler and the Holocaust. Love or hate those productions, the idea of a musical comedy about Hitler and the Holocaust is hardly a new idea.

At this stage of the mystery something should be said as to why Junior couldn’t take the obvious solution (dig the casket back up)…it was a symbolic burial…something. Furthermore, unless Mysta’s body was totally destroyed there would have been a ME report on the body.

I remember in their satire “Hokum’s Heros”, which was a satire of a popular 60’s sitcom, they ended it the cast deciding to move into an even “funier” sitcom set in a concentration camp.^^Yes, it ended with the cast with shaved heads and the striped uniforms of the "work camp’ inmates… Ironically, at least 3 cast members spent time in the actual camps; Werner Klemperer (Col. Klink), John Banner (Shultz) because they were German Jews and Robert Clary (LeBeau) who was in the camps for being a homosexual.

I didn’t know Archie Andrews worked for the police.

Forget Archie Andrews! I always thought that Junior resembled Measles (thinking that was one of the reasons that Team Tracy decided to write him out of the strip permanently). No confusion now!I know a lotta folks here are happy to see a Moon Maid reference, but I was hoping for more of the Mr. Kleen story. I always love seeing the baddies getting their second (or third, etc.) go-around with our favorite detective. Looking forward to more of that.And it just occurred to me while reading the comments today: how is it that Pat looks more his age and DT doesn’t? Weren’t they partners around the same age way back when?

Anyone else think that Junior looks rather old in Panel 1? If I was reading this for the first time, I might think he was older than Dick!
