Some of the people who engage in those epic pointless bouts of name-calling on the editorial cartoons on GoComics appear to have concussions (or worse….)
Decades ago a researcher at the US Naval Academy noticed something curious about rams: They can butt heads all day with no apparent ill effect. He eventually realized it was because when rams butt heads, the impulse doesn’t go to their skulls, but to their shoulders and thence to their skeletons. This led to a design for a helmet and shoulder pad combo that would greatly reduce the incidence of concussion. Only problem was, it was virtually impossible for humans to use it because it basically immobilized the head; it was impossible to turn to the sides and see anything.

Sounds like the old boxer. His trainer used to tell him: " Lead with your left not your head."

Ah Chris Pronger. I can only dream of what could have been with the Flyers if you didn’t suffer those devastating concussions.
