Alice: In preschool today, somebody pushed baby carrots into the pencil sharpener despite knowing better, so the whole class had to sit with their heads on their desk until I finally stepped forward an admitted I did it. Alice: If we are dinner in front of the T like a normal family these awkward lulls would not be so noticeable.

No TV because they’re still trying to figure out who put mashed potatoes in the remote.

My Beloved once pointed out to a grocery cashier that they had spelled “Shiitake” with only one “i” on the shelf label, and had broken the word in an awkward place to put it on two lines.

At a tender age, granddaughter #2 (artist of my avatar) once shoved a total of 17 cd’s and dvd’s into a dvd player. Kind of congested in there.

@Richard Russell: I once bought purple potatoes and the grocery store receipt said Prple ppl eatr. I noticed it as the guy handed me the thing, burst out laughing, showed it to him, and he grinned, Yeah, the guys who set this up have a sense of humor.
Small non-chain grocery store. Love the place.

@ age 3 my daughter managed to fit our entire DVD collection (at least the ones she could open) in and around the DVD player and reciever. Grandma liked to record PBS shows for her so we had over 40 of the things..How they fit:They stacked about 3 tall in 3 1/2 stacks under for a total of 10between the player and reciever could fit 4 high! (but not as deeep) only 9 total only 3 or 4 on topshoved on the next shelf up, under the TV base were another 2next to the player (sideways) were another random 7 or 8under the media stand (on the floor) was another 6 or so I found her in the midist of trying to close the DVD player with 2 or 3 stacked on top of each other and getting upset it wouldn’t goand much later we found one that had been “missing” in the CD player next to the other players.
