old is when you check the Obits. to make sure your name is not there

Middle age and older. It’s six PM on a Friday, the phone rings and you hope it’s a wrong number.

Don’t fret love birds, love never ages you.

My friends are all about sixty, and the run and bike all the time….I don’t remember my folks doing that regularly…

ok, I’m doing the genealogy of my family and I’ve got lots of pictures of my immediate ancestors (3-4 generations), and I’ve been looking at lots of older movies, and I’ve been wondering the same thing (I enjoy how Jimmy Johnson reflects the thoughts of this/my generation so well), and I came up with a distinct possiblity (there could be more). Cigarette smoking and the lack thereof. Think about this and look at some of our current show biz people and guess who still smokes too much.

AIIGH indeed.

My age reality check is whenever I deal with some form of health care professional. Usually the first question they ask after they fine out who you are is, “What is your date of birth?”Talk about destroying your self image of being only as old as you feel!

Old is when your grandson knows how to use an iPhone and you don’t!

Signs you are getting old:

You begin sentences with “When I was a boy/girl …”

You actually recognise the name of a celebrity, and immediately say “Is he still alive?”

Someone mentions something that happened twenty years ago, and you thought it was just yesterday.

Know what’ll make you feeel really old, when Mary Lou feels old to find out that Disney’s The Little Mermaid was released closer to the moon landing than present day.
