Take it up a notch and bring it into collegiate hockey here in the U.S. At U.N.H. they’d throw a fish (bought at Newicks of course) At Wisconsin, a badger. Minnesota, a gopher. Of course, back in the day opposing fans would throw those on the ice when mocking the others’ fan base. I know it’s not politically correct to suggest this type of behavior, but…
Actually, this wouldn’t be all that bad of an idea. Especially if the ensuing play resulted in a goal. (Why, yes, I’m a Predators fan who remembers the non-offside call at Colorado…)

Can you imagine how long it would take to clean up the ice if Ohio State fans threw Buckeyes? Or UCSB (?) threw banana slugs?
