Eyes write! Tapan Dey, from West Bengal, India, can write with his eyes! Until 1911, clocks of French railway stations were set 5 minutes fast so travelers would not miss their trains! English soccer player William Fatty Foulke (1874-1916) weight over 330 lbs. and is still the heaviest professional player in the history of the sport!

So how does Mr. Dey find out he has made a typo as he writes with his eyes?

If Fatty Foulkes died aged just 32 then he must have been morbidly obese poor guy.

William was probably the goal keeper. Move an inch or two either way and it would be difficult to score.

Notice they use “IIII” on a clock instead of “IV”. That is supposed to King Charles doing so he wouldn’t have to pay a clockmaker of something.

Foulke died in 1916. Wonder if that happened in the trenches

Ever think, when reading some of these, “I hope that guy isn’t from my country…”
As for the clocks set fast, bars have done that for years and years, there’s ‘real’ time and ‘bar’ time.

It looks to me like he is writing with the pen/pencil inserted into the fold of skin on the BRIDGE of his nose. Hence he is not writing with his EYES!

Until ‘Train Time’ was established, America had a lot of train accidents. Bumping into the rear of a slow train. And a few collisions because of being late to get on a side-track.
