I have a rock outside the kitchen window which predicts the weather just as accurately.. In Colorado, if the rock is rolling over, it’s windy. Never thought about using a rope. Maybe I should invest in one! Although, in Colorado, something as flimsy as a rope might be in Kansas by morning!
I’ve heard one once about this guy who worked in the woods.Someone asked him once during the winter, “How do you know when it’s to cold to work in the woods?”He replied, "I have a chain hanging outside my window, if I shake it and it dosen’t rattle, then it’s too cold to work.;-).\\//_
