My lawn tractors usually last me about ten years. Change the oil, etc. to make them last.
Been here on the old Virginia ranch near DC almost forty years now
I do try to get one with more HP each time.
Lucky me, I really love it here, an acre and a half in grass and surrounded by acres of forest land. No neighbors and thirty minutes into town, on a good day.
My Plugger car is a ten year old Lexus ES 300 and still runs quite well. On the other hand, wife had to get a new Chevy due to a lot of travel.
I know how he feels, I bought a beater 4X4 a few years back for winter driving. Not only did it NOT snow any that year, I think for the first time in 40+ years, it was one of the warmest winters for our area ever!

Jupiter and Saturn sure seem to have some very violent weather – how much heat do you think is there?

The grass needs rain, to be able to grow, so you can mow it.
