My nieces got their ears pierced when they were way younger. It just depends on the parents I guess.

At least she is not asking to pierce her navel.

I wasn’t allowed to get my ears pierced til I was 15 and my mom did it but I regret that. She used a huge needle and if I don’t wear earrings you can see the hole. I wish I’d had it done professionally.

I was 13 when I got my ears pierced. My aunt did it professionally so she did mine. I remember it being a big thing.

I have 3 daughters, two bio and one adopted. My adopted daughter pierced her ears HERSELF when she was 11, two years before we adopted her.

My youngest wanted pierced ears but was afraid of needles. She said she wished I’d had her ears pierced when she was a baby. She said if she ever had to be put out for surgery, to ask the doctor to pierce her ears while she was asleep! She finally got her ears pierced when she was 19, and her nose when she was 20. And she has at least one tattoo, so I guess she got over that fear.

Being a diabetic I pierce my body at least three times a day. Usually in the stomach. Otherwise I would not like metal in my body.
