Luann is missing out on a lot…but that last one should almost certainly be a higher number. Transmissions from Voyager (or any space probe) travel at the speed of light. While that is incredibly fast, if the transmissions could reach Earth in 12 minutes, it would only be somewhere in the asteroid belt. The Voyagers’ prime mission was to explore Jupiter and Saturn (and in Voyager 2’s case Uranus and Neptune). All transmissions from those planets took considerably longer than 12 minutes to reach Earth. Now, of course, Voyager 1 is the most distant human made object at more than 20 billion km from Earth, and its transmissions take about 20 hours to reach Earth (still pretty quick when you consider the distance – though the latter is still a tiny fraction of the distance to the nearest star other than the Sun).
Another questionable bit of info is the stuff about Poe. Though Poe had his issues, a lot of the stories about his “tormented life” are now believed to have been a posthumous smear job by a rival who somehow managed to become his literary executor. Several who knew him said that while he occasionally drank to excess, he was not an alcoholic (or an opium addict, as was also claimed). His death was somewhat mysterious, but the doctor who treated him, though somewhat inconsistent in his accounts of Poe’s death, firmly stated that Poe had no odor of alcohol “on his breath or person”.

When you add any number of even numbers together, you get an even number.
When you add an even number of odd numbers together, you get an even number.
When you add an odd number of odd numbers together, you get an odd number.
Every time.

The square of any number will always be 1 more than the product of the numbers before & after it. (6×4 is 24, the square of 5 is 25)
