And what is Jane thinking all this time? Tarzan, what if you die out there in the desert and are never found? That’s what I like about the Sunday comics. There at least Jane isn’t completely the mere “walk-on” that she is in these older dailies. (For one thing, she can shoot a rifle with superlative skill, as I recall.)
I’ve been, once again, re-reading all the original Tarzan stories, and by coincidence, having finished “Tarzan The Magnificent”, my next one is #22, “Tarzan And The Foreign Legion”. Gittem, Tarzan!(All still available as public domain free download at Project Gutenberg)(http://www.gutenberg.org/)
When I was about 14 we moved into a new [to us] home and in the attic of the house I discovered a set of 14 hardbound Tarzan books. I read them all. A few years later I gave them back to the grandson of the people we bought the house from, but I was hooked on ERB. I’ve got 25 Tarzan books now, most of them paperbacks, and a total of 30 other books of Edgar Rice Burroughs. These include the Pellucidar, Mars and Venus series. What fantastic escape reading they were to me when I was young!

Eventually Kurt and Saphia move to Milwaukee and open an imported rug shop. So a new mystery, not the FFL?

Didn’t take him long to decide not to stay; I’m out of here.

Maybe Saphia will insist that they stay and help Tarzan?

But first a story. About our second date. Shouldn’t take more that thirty panels to tell.
