My grandsonasked me what type of video games I had as a kid. After I got out of ICU for laughing so hard, I explained how we had “plikes”. You know “Plike this” or “Plike that” and toys made out of things like a corn cob with chicken feathers stuck in one end to make whirley-gigs.
i, for one, could never get the hang of an etch-a-sketch. i had one back when i was 10 but it eventally wound up with the rest of the toys i paid little attention to. i was far more interested in my matchbox cars, my Beatles cards and my record collection.
I loved my Etch a Sketch, still have it, in the attic of course, but I still have it, and it still works. Checked it out, out of curiosity this past Christmas when I found it looking for one special Christmas ornament I wanted to put on display. Yeah I played with it a bit, LOL!

Yeah, I guess it’s true most people are windows users. But why does the panel show the kid using an etch a sketch?

You’re talking about Pluggers’ kids…..real Pluggers never had those fancy gadgets when they were young.

I catch myself at times to realize that voting age adults have never know a world without the Internet.
