Get Fuzzy by Darby Conley for April 05, 2013
Transcript:
Bucky: See, I don't have to know a bunch of egghead "data" to be right about something. Rob: Mm-hm. Bucky: For instance, I have no idea what's join' on in your bulbous head, but I know whatever it is that you're thinking is wrong. Rob: Well, back to weaseleaks... fungi's issue with it is that the stuff you're writing isn't true. Bucky: You have no imagination, do you? The truth is boring, man. I don't see no dictionary winning the noble prize. Rob: Nobel. Bucky: No bell, no trophy, no nothin'.

I think people are attacking Republicans because they are even more antiquated than Democrats. The American two party system and its acolytes are positively 19th Century. And they all dress like morons.

Oh, give it up, already. You don’t see me likening Bucky to the Liberals, Conservatives or NDP, do you? There IS life beyond your borders, you know.

This dialogue is approaching Groucho-Chico territory. I’m loving it.

You mean I can’t even read the comics without a Demi-tard / Republi-creep debate? I’m putting on the foil hat and waiting for the Mother ship. Have at it, do all the semi-normal people a favor and kill each other.

Bucky can’t be wrong, he’s a cat!

This isn’t a “political” strip – how about knocking off on all the political commentary? It’s really off topic.

Some folks can’t help but drag politics into every situation, quite frankly they love to pick a fight. We even have a turd who comments occasionally on the “Ten Cats” comic trying to equate every nuance in the strip to a particular political party.

Actually the characters in this strip is based on commenters here: stupid & nasty, stupid & nice, and stupid & exasperated. Note that the only seemingly intelligent character (Fungo) doesn’t speak at all.

Have finally figured out that we have a lot of people in Congress who share Bucky’s philosophy!

This is why, if I were in Rob Wilco’s shoes, I would tell Bucky that some people have been known to put their cats to sleep, for repeated misbehavior. And I would explain to Bucky, that I mean put the cat to death! I just feel for Rob’s frustration. The malaprops are funny[sometimes], but if Bucky were human, he’d be an a**h**e.

Uh people this is a comic, not a political debate. Lighten Up already!

Mason Williams in his song “The Tomato Vendetta” said:“This is not a true story, but who needs truth if it’s dull.”The album, “Homemade” was released in March, 1970.

OK, no more political comments unless they’re funny and original. This means no recycled caconyms from your hypothought leaders.

Thank you TrustedMechanic for your kind words. I read Get Fuzzy to laugh at the antics of a cat who twists reality to fit the delusions of his mind, not to listen to a lot of people likening it to their politics. I have a sister-in-law who does the former and she has gossiped some whoppers about me.
