I read tons of old Peanuts Treasury collections when I was a kid in the 1970s, so it’s unusual to come across storylines I don’t remember. But this storyline, where Lucy and Linus are worried that they’re moving away, is NOT one I remember. Fun to read Peanuts not knowing what’s going to happen!
I think if Schroeder believed Lucy was moving away he’d have the same reaction I had when a woman I disliked announced she was moving to Seattle. I had to pretend to be sorry because she didn’t want to move (she had to move because her husband’s job transferred him) but later when I was alone I shouted GLORY! and did the happy dance!
This is the strip that precedes Lucy and Linus actually moving and that Schroeder found himself remembering Lucy and asking , “I got accustomed to that face?” – he missed her. I loved that series…

I remember this sequence. A strange reaction coming from Schroeder here in a few days, which includes an interesting clue in how Lucy is drawn.
