There’s a fluid reality in this strip. Sometimes we see Mutt’s married life; other times Mutt and Jeff seem to be two bachelors rooming together. If Mutt’s married and has a kid, why would he be sharing his living space, not to mention his bed, with his buddy? It’s like Laurel & Hardy!
