The worst part of getting old is the betrayal. Your body, your mind, and sometimes both slowly betray you. Your body starts to ache from efforts that did not bother you when you were in your twenties, your thirties. Where you could recall things instantly, or so is seems in your memory, can take days to surface to the forefront of your mind. The list goes on.Of course, this short time we spend on this earth is just a vapor, a blink in the eye of eternity. A way station of our existance, our lives in this world determines how we are to spend eternity. Do we accept the forgiveness that was paid for by Christ’s death and resurection and live with the lover of our souls? Or do we reject such a costly sacrifice and spend eternity divorced from the love of God and His benefits?
