I had no choice in the matter, had to have electric since gas lines were not even down my street. They went down 1/2 the block and stopped! Most stupid thing I ever heard of, would much rather have gas. As for the bird, I’m wondering (now) if it’s actually a FEMALE bird and she is worried about her eggs?

I know. Always had gas stoves in my house, but moved to Senior apartments and they all have electric stoves. But at least mine works OK.
