Anyone in here actually run Boston? I did a couple of times. It’s a fun reward for working hard and qualifying for the race. Unless you’re in contention, then it’s just more work. The Reader, by all rights, it should be a Plymouth Road Runner.
I’m not sure how to feel about this… I think I’m going to settle for rage against whoever bombed the marathon, and sadness for all all involved.Man, I bet Tony Carrillo feels really terrible right now :(
I was pretty upset about the Boston events today. Then I remembered Fred Rogers and what he said about stuff like this.“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ To this day, especially in times of ‘disaster,’ I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world.”And I thought about the helpers and felt a lot better.

That’s not a loophole, it’s a Cadillac.

Best wishes to all the marathoners and families, and of course the people of Boston.
