Our dog eats all kinds of vegetables, both raw and cooked, but flatly refuses any type of sausage or hot dogs, whether whole or sliced. As he needs daily meds we are very happy that he loves thinly sliced turkey which we wrap the pills in. It is much more nice having him beg for the pills this way than having to force-feed him the pills three times a day. He is an fake-swallowing artist and thus require meds to be pushed deep down the throat and a long massage to ensure that they really get into the stomach. Dogs I had before him only needed a meat ball as a starter, then I could follow up with “naked” pills which were wolfed down without any hesitation or protest, but not this furry gourmet, no way…

My dog would eat anything but broccoli and salmon pie.

Our vet told us to add un-salted string beans to the dog’s kibble so the pooch would drop a few pounds. He left all the string beans in the dish.
