Hi Gweedo… Thank you very much for your compliment about my message to Susan which was published in the newspaper. I kind of came up with it on the spot and I thought it would be a good idea to compare the sunshine in the sky to her ‘sunny’ personality.
P.S. I liked your ‘theme’ song… Do you like Johnny Cash? I do but I’ve only heard about 3 of his songs. I hope you’re well… Do you get your pre amp today?
And thank you very much, Linda for passing on the emails and your lovely comment to me.
@MikeyjOnce again your strip is better than the official one! (Although I’m in the minority today because I thought today’s official one was at least worth a chuckle.) As for Elmo, I’ve always thought he should be set on fire!
@ No. 6Don’t sneeze. I have had similar injuries. My MD prescribed muscle relaxers (pills) and over-the-counter pain meds. Get yourself to your local quack.
@ AnnaliseSorry if I mis-spelled your name, but my memory isnt what it used to be. I meant every word I said about you, you are one of the brightest and sweetest people I have had the pleasure to meet on this site. Thank you for brightening our lives by sharing your own with us!
I was supposed to be going to Chicago today to spend the weekend with my beautiful grandson and his sweet parents, but with the ice and snow falling, I think I am gonna leave tomorrow instead of today. Ya’ll stay warm and dry, and if you can, send some reassurance that snow and ice arent a permanent condition….heavy sigh…
Chic Young drew Blondie until his death in 1973, when creative control passed to his son Dean Young, who continues to write the strip. Young has collaborated with a number of artists on Blondie, including Jim Raymond, Mike Gersher, Stan Drake, Denis Lebrun, and John Marshall. (From Wikipedia)
Is the red-headed baby (by Dennis the Menace) Marvin? We used to get that in our paper a few years ago but I notice it’s not on GoComics. No PEANUTS characters???(The “Jumble” today had Lucy and Dolly from Family Circus in battling lemonade stands.)
We have to be careful because in some people’s minds sexual orientation has become a political issue. (Gay marriage etc.) We (I think I speak for most of us at AC) would prefer to keep this forum neutral with respect to politics, religion, and other contentious or divisive issues. I have some very strong opinions but I don’t express them here.
.Bev, I am also in-corrigatable too ! I read Ballard Street fairly regular in print media before all this electronica became the norm..My best wishes to afficionado’s neighbor for a safe and full recovery. The fall alone’s gotta hurt ! Chris is coming a long way for you. I hope it’s the sunshine you need to balance out the accident. ..@ Number SixOwwee ! My Uncle Jack had something going on along that line and was almost better when he chanced resuming bowling…… and it all came back. He went chiropractic and the guy brought relief and also told him how his posture was off. He is much better and will not bowl the rest of the season to make sure. DON’T BE PATRONIZING ! ..Mikey, that is vicious ! I wouldn’t be surprised if the authors Flagged you and asked for your banishment. ..Number Three, you are welcome and deserve all the accolades we give. Try not to let it go to your head. The Pre amp came a while ago and we got it hooked up. I am running Rory Gallagher now and had it on for Jim earlier. He knows who Rory is. He also stayed long enough to do an episode of “Star Track – The Next Hesitation” and enjoyed the humor.
I like Mr. Cash’s music since the “Boy Named Sue” song came out in ‘69 and now have a number of Cd reissues from the 1960s and the early Sun recordings and I think, four out of five of the American recordings that he did near the end of his life. In fact, I will run “Blood Sweat And Tears” later as it has a really good sound, for something of the early 1960s. He was on Columbia which, in my opinion, was one of if not the premier place to record back in them days. This baby is sounding sweet ! .Thanks for the anniversary stuff, Bugger and I agree, jmcx4, Number Six has bent way back for us, and me ! Poor guy. ..Linda, will you be driving to Chi town ?.You’re replying to Chalkie j’s derailment:
Golly what i was going to say isn’t important. I hope for the best, of course.
@Linda DeanThank you lovely Linda for, providing the Boulder Buddy addy, which I realized, afterwards, I already had but old age being what it is…At any rate we’ve been in brief commune. Please forgive me if I’m not at my usual best in the next few weeks. My life is again taking a turn and heading for a new adventure, I know not where ( as yet ! ). So I may not be as diligent in posting, until I get things worked out.A premature Frisky Friday<<< hugs >>>

I keep telling myself that any Andy is better than no Andy, but strips like today’s make that a hard position to maintain.
