I was a war-time chilld, and was lucky there was food on the table. Like Beviek, JKiss, and Redhead, my mom would have “knocked me into the middle of next week” for a crack like that one. Actually, we wouldn’t have even had whipped cream in the house if you couldn’t get it with ration points.
